Jim Henson aliens to front Disney+ talker

Disney+ is preparing its first original talkshow, fronted by two “extra-terrestrial creatures” from The Jim Henson Company (TJHC).

Earth to Ned launches in September

Ten episodes of Earth to Ned will launch on the streaming service on September 4 and will see two aliens, commander Ned and his lieutenant Cornelius, interview pop culture stars.

Each episode, produced by TJHC and Marwar Junction Productions, focuses on a topic or theme, including comedy, sports, social media and fashion, with celebrity guests.

These include Bindi and Robert Irwin, NeNe Leakes, Joel McHale, Andy Richter, RuPaul, Jenny Slate and Raven Symoné.

The series is executive produced by Brian Henson and Vince Raisa from TJHC and Joseph Freed and Allison Berkley from Marwar Junction Productions. The aliens in the show are brought to life by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
