Jetpack unleashes Dennis around world

The second season of Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! is in production

Broadcasters including NBCUniversal International Networks’ DreamWorks channel have acquired Beano Studios’ children’s series Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! from Jetpack Distribution.

DreamWorks, a 24-hour channel dedicated to kids’ and family entertainment, has acquired the rights to seasons one and two of the show, both of which are 52×11′.

The deal covers territories across Asia Pacific, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Myanmar and the Maldives.

Elsewhere, Canal J in France and South African free-to-air (FTA) channel e.tv have acquired season one of the CGI-animated show, which follows the hijinks of the classic Beano comic character Dennis the Menace.

Irish pubcaster RTÉ and German FTA net Super RTL have acquired the rights to season two, which is currently in production, with the latter deal also covering Austria and Switzerland.

The show launched in 2017 on CBBC in the UK and is now watched in more than 90 territories.
