Atomic Monster’s Wan, Michael Clear and producer Ingrid Bisu will collaborate with Truly Original’s team, including co-CEOs Steven Weinstock and Glenda Hersh and head of development Chachi Senior, to develop and produce new reality formats and series.

The companies said they already have multiple projects in development across numerous genres.

Truly Original produces factual series such as The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Family Karma, Ink Master, Would I Lie to You? and Swamp People.

Launched in 2014 by Wan, Atomic Monster’s film credits include Annabelle, Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona. On the scripted TV side, its credits include MacGyver for CBS and Swamp Thing for Warner Bros Television. Australian director Wan also helmed the Jason Momoa-led blockbuster Aquaman.

“This is an opportunity to bring a completely fresh creative approach and perspective to unscripted,” said Senior.

“James and Atomic Monster’s distinct and ridiculously captivating storytelling abilities, combined with Truly’s deep experience and legacy of creating unscripted hits, provides an exciting foundation for the various series we’re developing together.”
