J2911 Media hires US sales exec

US-based distributor J2911 Media has appointed the producer of Food Network’s Dallas Cakes as its sales and acquisition executive for the US.

Amanda Rockwell

Amanda Rockwell has joined the company and will report to Vivian Reinoso, head of worldwide acquisition, distribution and new project engagement.

Rockwell has been a writer and producer for 20 years, working for Time Life, PBS and NASA TV as well as running her own company. She also previously spent six years as head of development for TeleProductions International in Washington D.C.

She has worked with independent programme producers and has helped build a portfolio of entertainment content for international distribution.

At J2911, Rockwell is responsible for acquiring English-language programming and distributing the existing J2911 Media catalogue within the US for all languages except Spanish.
