ITV detectives head down under

MIPCOM: An Australian pay TV channel has acquired 227 hours of crime drama and entertainment programming from ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE).

BBC Worldwide-owned UKTV has taken ITVSGE detective dramas including Inspector Morse (33×120’), three seasons of Lewis (12×120’), five seasons of A Touch of Frost (14×120’) and Prime Suspect (15×120’).

It has also picked up entertainment titles including seasons 13 of long-running quizshow Eggheads (160×30’) and The Royal Variety Performance 2013 (1×120’). The deal was brokered by Dan Edwards, senior sales exec, Australia, at ITVSGE.
