During a 12-month period, trainees will take part in placements offered at 10 labels and indies that are part of ITVS, across both scripted and unscripted.

Among them are ITVS Continuing Drama, ITVS Daytime, ITVS Entertainment, ITVS Drama, MultiStory Media, Potato, Mammoth Screen, Silverprint Pictures and World Productions.

A key aim of the scheme is to attract candidates from groups that currently lack representation in the industry, including those from underrepresented socioeconomic backgrounds, BAME individuals and disabled people.

Training and support for the scheme is being provided by industry specialist thinkBIGGER!.

Applications are now open and will close on February 19, with placements to begin in May.

Julian Bellamy, MD of ITVS, said: “We are wholeheartedly committed to finding and developing new, creative and diverse voices. The production trainee scheme is one of a number of initiatives that we are launching this year across the group to help drive change, and we are delighted that thinkBIGGER! are on board with the scheme to help us provide the best possible support to those joining our teams.”
