A Canadian broadcaster has picked up family drama series Butterfly, which was commissioned by ITV in the UK.
Canuck pubcaster the CBC will air the 3×60′ show next year after agreeing a deal with Fremantle, which distributes globally.
The show is from Red Production Company and tells the story of an 11-year old boy who decides he wants to live life as a girl.
Created, written and executive produced by Tony Marchant, it explores the complex relationship between separated parents who are divided over how to support the child.
