ITV Studios’ Catchpoint gameshow lands first Asian adaptation in Sri Lanka

ITV Studios’ gameshow format Catchpoint is heading to Sri Lanka

ITV Studios’ physical gameshow format Catchpoint has landed its first adaptation in Asia with a commission from Sri Lankan broadcaster Sirasa TV.

The deal expands the partnership between Sirasa and ITV Studios, who have partnered on local adaptations of The Voice since 2019.

As part of the renewed deal, Sirasa TV will continue its run with The Voice Sri Lanka and The Voice Teens, commissioning a third and fourth season respectively.

Sirasa has commissioned Catchpoint to be launched in mid-July 2025. The original airs on BBC One in the UK with an associated celebrity spin-off version.

Catchpoint pits two teams of two against each other in a combination of quiz play and physical action. Players must answer questions correctly – or be just close enough – to position themselves under the right spot and catch a falling ball.

The Voice franchise renewal and new commission for Catchpoint were negotiated by Ayesha Surty, head of brand partnerships for Asia at ITV Studios, and the team at Sirasa TV, headed by CEO Yasarath Kamalsiri.
