ITV Studios and Vincent TV lay the foundations for housing crisis format Try Before You Buy

ITV Studios and Dutch indie prodco Vincent TV have teamed up to develop new property format, Try Before You Buy.

It sees six first-time house buyers live under the roof of a home for sale that’s twice as expensive as one individual can afford. They then decide who they want to team up with to beat the others and acquire the house.

With the aid of real estate agents, the contestants must make the biggest decision of their lives.

Vincent ter Voert, founder, Vincent TV, said: “We believe the next generation needs a new way to beat the current housing crisis. Buying a house together, even with someone you don’t know at all, can be the solution young adults are desperately looking for.”
