ITV spotlights PC Harper case

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has ordered a Sir Trevor McDonald-fronted documentary special about the killing of British police officer Andrew Harper.

In The Killing of PC Harper: A Wife’s Story (working title), Harper’s wife Lissie will talk at length for the first time about the impact her husband’s death has had on her life.

Harper was killed just four weeks after their wedding in 2019 when he went out to investigate a robbery.

The 1×60’ doc is being produced by Crackit Productions and will be executive produced by Jon Connerty and Jason Wells.

Priya Singh, ITV factual commissioning editor, said: “At its heart, this is the story of one woman’s quest for her vision of justice in the face of a devastating crime that tore her life apart and shocked the nation. We’re privileged to be able to share Lissie’s story as she goes above and beyond her personal tragedy in the name of justice for many.”
