ITV puts men to the test

UK broadcaster ITV will air a new primetime entertainment series based on a German format that puts men’s skills to the test.

My Man Can, produced by ITV Studios and based on the Redseven Entertainment format, sees four women gamble on the abilities of their partners for the chance to win a prize.

ITV1 will launch the show, to be hosted by Mark Wright and Melanie Sykes, in 2013. The format was acquired in a deal with SevenOne International.

My Man Can has already been sold into about 40 countries worldwide, with local remakes in Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Lithuania, China and South Korea.

ITV Studios has also optioned the format in France and Australia.
