ITV, Irvine Welsh go on second Crime spree

NEWS BRIEF: UK commercial broadcaster ITV has renewed Irvine Welsh’s drama series Crime, starring Dougray Scott, for a second season for its new AVoD/SVoD streaming service ITVX.

The series is produced by Buccaneer Media and Off Grid Film & TV and was adapted by Welsh from his own novel. Season one will also have a free premiere on ITVX ahead of the S2 launch. Canada’s Cineflix Media will handle international distribution.
