Goat Girl makes its debut next February

UK commercial broadcaster ITV and Canada’s WildBrain Television have acquired upcoming animated kids’ comedy series Goat Girl.

Coproduced by Ireland’s Daily Madness, France’s Miam! Animation and Thuristar in Belgium, Goat Girl (26×11’) follows the wacky journey of a teenager raised by goats in the mountains as she attends school for the first time.

The coming-of-age series, set to premiere in February 2026, was commissioned by WarnerMedia EMEA, Germany’s KiKA, Belgium’s VRT-Ketnet and Ireland’s RTÉ. It has also been picked up by YLE in Finland, DR in Denmark and Iceland’s RÚV. Miam! Distribution is the global distributor.

Goat Girl was created by Shannon George and Kristina Yee and is directed by Krystal Georgiou, Lauri Saunders and Matthieu Giner. The series has been nominated for the 2025 edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in the TV series category as part of the official competition.

In related news, WildBrain has strengthened its presence in the FAST streaming market by launching new children’s channels across Europe.
