Caroline Short has been promoted to the newly created role of head of global TV at UK factual prodco ITN Productions (ITNP), as part of a series of promotions aimed at accelerating international and digital growth.

Short is tasked with streamlining decision making, aligning teams across factual output in the UK and internationally, and sharpening the company’s offering to both domestic broadcasters and global platforms. Short, previously head of UK factual at ITNP, will continue to run ITNP’s base in Leeds.

Georgina Mantle, meanwhile, has been elevated from creative director to global creative director. In addition to overseeing development, she will play a key role in shaping company strategy, supporting the digital division and opening up new worldwide markets for ITN Productions.

ITNP has also promoted Leeds-based Gorana Jelovina to deputy head of development, working with Dan Gilmore, head of development. Jelovina had been performing the role on an acting basis since October last year.

Production manager John Keyes, meanwhile, takes on sole responsibility for secondary sales and distribution, working with distributors and managing ITNP’s back catalogue.

The senior leadership reshuffle comes after ITNP earlier this week announced senior hires for its fledgling digital division, headed by former ITV Studios exec George Cudmore.

Short said: “Bringing UK rooted, globally resonant stories together under one roof makes perfect sense for our partners – allowing us to move faster and pitch at scale.”

Mantle said: “Our creative pipeline spans premium factual, returning series and digital formats designed for worldwide audiences. I’m excited to help shape strategy and open new doors.”
