Israeli content streamer Izzy acquires Gaza conflict docuseries Fighters plus four dramas

Fighters follows Israeli soldiers wounded in the Gaza conflict

Streaming platform Izzy, which focuses on Israeli content, has picked up the international rights to Gaza conflict documentary Fighters, in addition to four dramas.

Coproduced by Keshet 12 and the Israel Entertainment Fund, Fighters is a three-part series following the journey of Israeli soldiers wounded in the Israeli-Hamas conflict. The docuseries comes from Baron Productions.

The streamer also picked up drama series The Echo of Your Voice, biographical drama Aviram Katz, hostage thriller The Exchange Principal and family drama Mama’s Angel, which feature Israeli stars including Sasson Gabai, Lior Ashkenazi and Shira Haas.

Launched in 2020 and led by co-founder Nati Dinnar, Izzy has a mission to take Israeli content international. The company said it has subscribers in more than 110 countries. It is not available in Israel currently as its strategy is to showcase Israeli content in other markets.

The acquisitions come as Izzy gears up to debut the Schtisel prequel series Kugel, set to launch on February 28.

“Along with this powerful documentary, the diverse range of star-studded Israeli dramas that we’re bringing to Izzy in March will showcase the depth and richness of storytelling coming from Israel,” said Dinnar.

“This is the heart of Izzy, bringing bold, thought-provoking content to viewers worldwide that challenges, entertains and inspires.”
