Investigation Discovery commits to true crime from Arrow Media

Love, Honor, Betray

Discovery-owned US cablenet Investigation Discovery has commissioned 26 hours of true crime content from UK factual prodco Arrow Media.

Six of the 26 hours are made up of new series Love, Honor, Betray (6×60’), where husbands and wives are betrayed by their partners. The series will premiere on Investigation Discovery from November 4, with SVoD service Discovery+ releasing episodes every Thursday.

Discovery has also commissioned 20 hours of new material from true crime series American Monster (20×60’), making this the show’s seventh season. The new episodes air on Investigation Discovery from October 31, with Discovery+ showing new ones every Sunday.

The deal builds on Arrow Media and Investigation Discovery’s existing relationship, which has seen shows like Body Cam and See No Evil air on the network.

Ash Potterton, executive producer at Arrow Media, says: “What has always set Arrow Media apart in the crowded factual space is our exceptional storytelling. By combining first-hand testimony from victims with archive footage from their wedding and happier times, we are able to build a full picture of the crime and tell deeply emotional stories of how they were betrayed.”

American Monster is executive produced by Nick Metcalfe and Tom Brisley for Arrow Media and by Tim Baney for Investigation Discovery. Love, Honor, Betray is executive produced by Potterton and Brisley for Arrow Media and Diana Sperrazza for Investigation Discovery.
