Small Vs Tall has been optioned in the US by Tom Forman’s Critical Content, in the UK by Singletown prodco Keshet Productions and in France by Thierry Lachkar’s indie Deeply Superficial.

They Have No Idea What Will Happen, meanwhile, has gone to Globomedia in Spain and Federation Entertainment-backed WeMake in France.

The two shows are produced by Leonine-owned i&u TV in Germany and have both proved popular locally, airing on German pubcaster Das Erste and commercial network RTL, respectively.

Primetime family entertainment show Small Vs Tall, which has been airing since 2011, sees children with amazing talents and abilities competing against celebrity contestants. They Have No Idea What Will Happen, meanwhile, is a fast-paced primetime gameshow in which three hosts face unpredictable challenges.

Leonine Studios CEO Fred Kogel said the timing for the formats is ideal as “people are currently craving big, positive family entertainment shows.”

He added: “These two live-event formats regularly win their primetime slots across the German-speaking territories and we’re especially proud that during the pandemic, we found a way to produce without a live audience while keeping the same energy and entertainment value.”

Leonine Studios sales representative Stefanie Gelinas said: “Since so many episodes have already aired, our international partners can access a large catalogue of tried and tested games to support their local versions.”
