Int’l nets uncover WWII series

Australian pay TV operator Foxtel is among the international broadcasters to have acquired a history series about uncovering World War Two artefacts in Europe.

Foxtel and the Military Channel in Korea have acquired Battlefield Recovery (4×60′), which is produced by UK-based ClearStory and distributed by DRG.

It follows the work of a team dedicated to saving the history of the Second World War’s Eastern Front, uncovering the remains of German and Soviet soldiers missing in action.

The series led to an 87% increase in viewers for Discovery Poland’s weekend slot when it aired on the channel in September last year, according to ClearStory.
