Int’l nets take Twofour shows

What Would Your Kid Do? is hosted by comedian Jason Manford

Broadcasters ITV Choice and TVB Hong Kong have picked up a combined 60 hours of programming from UK distributor Twofour Rights, including entertainment format What Would Your Kid Do?.

MENA-focused satellite network ITV Choice, owned by UK broadcaster ITV, has acquired the finished programme of What Would Your Kid Do?, produced by Twofour Group-owned Boomerang and recently renewed by broadcaster ITV for a second run. It has also taken seasons one and two of the UK version of Twofour-produced relationship format A Night With My Ex.

Singing gameshow Change Your Tune and the UK version of This Time Next Year, again produced by ITV Studios-owned Twofour, were also bought by ITV Choice.

Elsewhere, TVB Hong Kong has also picked up What Would Your Kid Do? as part of a bundle of finished programming including Posh Pawn, a documentary series that goes behind the scenes with the kings of high-end pawn broking, plus World’s Most Expensive Presents and World’s Most Expensive Toys – all produced by Boomerang.

Rob Bassett, senior sales executive at Twofour Rights, said the firm was pleased What Would Your Kid Do? was “making an impact with international broadcasters.”

The deals follow on from a recent agreement with TV2 in Denmark to produce a local version of Twofour Rights’ business format Give it a Year, and a raft of distribution deals in the Nordics.
