Int’l nets rescue Endangered Species

Broadcasters including CBBC in the UK have acquired Teletoon Canada’s comedy series Endangered Species from distributor DHX Media.

Turner Broadcasting System in Latin America has also picked up the 52×11′ series for its Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels.

Elsewhere, Gulli in Russia, Plus Plus Channel in Ukraine, Zoom in Israel, Daekyo Kids TV in South Korea and iflix in South East Asia will also air the series.

The show follows a bunny, a squirrel and a seagull who are constantly on the verge of catastrophic extinction through comical misadventure.

The toon became part of DHX Media’s library of children’s programming in 2014 following its acquisition of fellow Canuck producer Nerd Corps for US$50m.
