San Vargas, who oversees all aspects of international and domestic production, post-production and operations, has been with the company since it was founded by Ben Silverman and Howard T Owens in 2015.

Reporting to Drew Buckley, Propagate’s group president and chief operating officer, San Vargas was promoted to the role of president of production and operations in 2018.

Prior to joining Propagate, San Vargas was senior VP of production at Pilgrim Studios. She has worked on shows such as America’s Next Top Model, The Simple Life and Making the Band.

Earlier this week Propagate announced its president Greg Lipstone, former CEO at All3Media America, would be leaving after three years with the studio and that he would not be replaced.

Propagate has offices in LA, New York and Paris. Its credits include Hillary, November 13: Attack on Paris, Haunted, Prank Encounters, In Search Of, Kings of Pain, Broke and Charmed for the likes of Hulu, Netflix, History Channel, CBS and The CW.

Its portfolio of companies includes Electus, Big Breakfast, Notional and talent management firms Artists First, Authentic Talent & Literary Management and Select Management.

Earlier this year it was reported that the company was a potential takeover target for former Disney bosses Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, who have so far acquired companies including Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine via the investment vehicle Blackstone.
