Imira lays claim to Koki

Spanish producer and distributor Imira Entertainment has picked up rights to classic claymation preschool series Koki.

Koki (26×5′), produced in Spain by Paco Rodriguez of PPM Multimedia and Nina Elias Bamberger of the Sesame Workshop (fka Children’s Television Workshop), follows a little hen in a family of chickens who is learning about responsibilities and friendships.

Imira is seeking partners across both traditional and new broadcast platforms for the series. Producer Rodriguez said that the digital era brought additional opportunities to exploit such classic content for a second time.

“This allows older generations to share the vintage and nostalgic content that they grew up with, with their preschool children born in the new digital interactive entertainment era,” he said.
