IFC makes more Maron

US cable channel IFC has ordered an expanded second season of a podcast-inspired comedy show.

Maron (13×30’) will be produced by Apostle and follows comedian Marc Maron, who was behind the podcast WTF.

The show explores Maron’s attempts to relate to his estranged father as he tries to increase his popularity as a comedian, and includes guest appearances by Mark Duplass, Jeff Garlin and Denis Leary.

The 13 new episodes – an increase on the 10 ordered for the first season – will air on AMC Networks-owned IFC in 2014.
