NEWS BRIEF: A+E Global Media’s History Channel and Corus Entertainment in Canada are bringing classic reality series Ice Road Truckers back for a twelfth season after an eight-year hiatus, produced by Burbank, California-based Original Productions and Winnipeg-based Eagle Vision.

The series, originally created by Thom Beers, ran from 2007 to 2017, focusing on the treacherous work of truck drivers in Northern Canada and Alaska. The latest season will premiere on October 1 with A+E Global Media handling worldwide distribution.
