Hulu ready to Party Down

US VoD platform Hulu has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to Starz’s cult scripted comedy Party Down.

The video streamer’s premium service, Hulu Plus, will make the entire series available to subscribers from today.

Party Down, created by Veronica Mars’ Rob Thomas and produced by Starz Media, debuted on Starz Entertainment in early 2009 and ran for two seasons before being cancelled.

It follows six Hollywood wannabes who make their living working for an LA catering company as they chase their dreams of stardom, with each episode focusing on a particular event that they are catering for.

Hulu will show the first five episodes of the show for free to non-subscribers for a limited time.
