Hong Kong’s Harbour Rights sends content package across Asian territories

Culinary show Masters of Savours

Buyers in four Asian countries – Myanmar, Korea, China and Taiwan – have bought content from Hong Kong-based distributor Harbour Rights.

Burmese pay TV channel Canal+ has licensed a 40-hour package that includes 26 episodes of food travel series Flavors, nature series Nature Sanctuaries (3×52′) and Norin’s Ark (5×52’) – which follows Norin Chai, a veterinarian who has devoted his life to tending to wild animals across Asia and Africa.

JCG in Korea has also acquired a 40-hour travel and gastronomy 4K package for its channel Dream TV. Along with 20 episodes of Flavors, the two other series included are Lands of the Earth (12×52′), which takes a look at the corners of the planet whose beauty has gone unnoticed, and Masters of Savours (8×52’) which travels the world to explore the best authentic tastes.

Chinese media company Tencent has picked up The Immortals (1×52′), which discusses the issue of eternal life and how possible it might be.

Finally, Hakka TV in Taiwan has licensed the series When We Play (5×46’), shot in Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore and China. The show examines the impact that kids’ playgrounds have on the communities they are built for and reflects on the urban environments they exist in.
