HGTV expands House Hunters franchise with 400-episode order

Warner Bros Discovery-owned HGTV is expanding its House Hunters franchise with a bumper order of almost 400 episodes, in addition to greenlighting four new shows.

Nearly 400 new half-hour episodes of flagship series House Hunters and spin-off House Hunters International will air in 2026. The former is produced by Pie Town Productions, while the international iteration is made by Leopard USA.

The long-running format takes viewers inside three different homes to evaluate the layout and furnishings before deciding which one will work best for the new homeowner.

HGTV has also ordered Botched Homes (Monument, 8×60’), which follows Florida contractor Charlie Kawas and his team as they set about fixing renovation jobs gone wrong, and Neighborhood Watch (Arrow Media, 16×30’), which uncovers shocking and unexpected moments caught on security cameras, smart doorbells, nanny cams and baby monitors.

In addition, the US cablenet has commissioned six-part house-hunting series World’s Bargain Dream Homes (Twenty Twenty Television) and 14-parter Property Brothers: Under Pressure (Scott Brothers Entertainment), which follows Drew and Jonathan Scott as they help wary buyers grappling with commitment issues make informed decisions.

“With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” said Howard Lee, chief creative officer, US networks, Warner Bros Discovery.

New, previously announced series set to launch on the network later this autumn include My Lottery Dream Home (Beyond Productions), Hoarding for the Holidays (Exit Four Media), season seven of Fixer to Fabulous (RIVR Media) starring Jenny and Dave Marrs, and Cheap A$$ Beach Houses (Bodega Pictures).
