Hemisphere Media picks up Girl of the Green Valley

NEWS BRIEF: US-based Spanish-language broadcaster Hemisphere Media Group has acquired Turkish drama series The Girl of the Green Valley from distributor Inter Medya of Istanbul.

Hemisphere owns and operates channel brands including Cinelatino, Pasiones and WAPA América. Produced by Yesil Yapim and starring Beren Gökyıldız, the series has also been picked up by Latina in Peru, TVN in Panama, WAPA in Puerto Rico and Chile’s Canal 13. The show is based on the 1908 Canadian novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
