Hearst announces senior promotions in production and distribution division

US firm Hearst has announced two promotions within its senior team for its newly launched production and distribution arm Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG).

Amy DeGregorio

Amy DeGregorio and Andrew Tew have been upped to senior VP and managing director of sales for educational/informational programming and senior VP of global licensing and distribution respectively.

DeGregorio was previously senior VP of client solutions at Litton Entertainment, while Tew worked as VP of licensing and distribution and general manager of global channels at the former Hearst-backed producer, which has been merged into the HMPG.

In her new role, DeGregorio will lead HMPG’s sales and marketing team and new business development initiatives with a focus on national brand advertisers, organisations and foundations.

Andrew Tew

Tew will oversee and broaden HMPG’s programming and distribution footprint across domestic and international platforms and will also focus on continued expansion of HMPG’s dedicated FAST channels.

Prior to joining Litton in 2016, DeGregorio was director of strategic and integrated marketing at CBS Television Stations. Before that, she served as manager of integrated strategic marketing at NBCUniversal.

Tew joined Litton in 2010 as a business development associate, becoming senior manager then director of digital initiatives and distribution and director of digital and international, before his most recent role at the firm.

Frank Biancuzzo, president of HMPG, said: “Amy and Andrew are forward-thinking executives who bring tremendous energy and insight to the team. As HMPG expands its industry presence across all platforms, they’ll make important contributions in leading our sales, marketing and distribution strategies.”
