Headspinner enters House of Frightenstein

The original Hilarious House of Frightenstein

Headspinner Productions, the Toronto-based firm recently set up by Michelle Melanson and Ken Cuperus, is bringing back Canadian children’s series The Hilarious House of Frightenstein.

The company, which launched in April, is working with Mitch Markowitz, who produced and acted in the original series, to reboot the show.

The sketch comedy series originally ran for 130 episodes in 1971 and was distributed by CBS Television Distribution.

The new version of The Hilarious House of Frightenstein is aimed at kids aged between eight and 14 and their parents, while an animated preschool version of the show, The Happy House of Frightenstein, is also in development.
