HBO Max, SBS discover Delphine: The Secret Princess from WBITVP

Delphine: The Secret Princess debuted in Belgium in January

MIPTV: Streamer HBO Max in Europe and Australian pubcaster SBS have acquired documentary series Delphine: The Secret Princess from Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP).

The 3×50’ show, produced by WBITVP Belgium, was simulcast on RTVLTV1 and Eén in Belgium in January. It will launch on HBO Max in CEE, Iberia, the Nordics and the Netherlands on May 1, while SBS will debut it on April 23.

The series tells the story of Princess Delphine de Saxe-Cobourg who, after being hidden for 31 years and fighting a seven-year legal battle against the highest powers, finally won recognition in Belgium. In October 2020, she officially became Her Royal Highness Delphine de Saxe-Cobourg, Princess of Belgium, daughter of King Albert II.

The deal was announced on day two of MipTV in Cannes.
