HBO Max greenlights JJ Abrams series

WarnerMedia-owned streamer HBO Max has ordered a new series from director and producer JJ Abrams (Lost, Westworld).

Subject To Change is an original idea from Abrams about a student who signs up for a clinical trial that has mind-altering results. Jennifer Yale is on board as showrunner.

Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions will produce the series in association with Warner Bros Television. Yale, Abrams and Ben Stephenson of Bad Robot will exec produce with Rachel Rusch Rich as co-executive producer.
