HBO Max France hires Arte alum Clémentine Bobin as senior creative executive

WarnerMedia-owned streamer HBO Max in France has appointed former Arte commissioning editor Clémentine Bobin as senior creative executive.

Clémentine Bobin

Bobin will work across development and creative production for Max Originals commissioned and produced in France alongside Vera Peltekian, VP and commissioning editor of original production, France. Peltekian took up the role in October and oversees all French originals.

Bobin was previously a drama commissioning editor and executive producer at cultural broadcaster Arte France, working on miniseries and single dramas. Her credits include Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem’s No Man’s Land (Arte/Hulu), Arnaud Malherbe’s Moloch and Torleif Hoppe’s DNA (TV2 Danmark/Arte).

Prior to joining Arte in 2017, Bobin worked for The Tunnel coproducer Shine France Films as head of development and as a freelance script editor in France and the UK.

Peltekian said: “Clémentine brings a wealth of experience in producing world-class stories which resonate in France and beyond. Her appointment is a major milestone in building our development capability in France.”

The appointment follows HBO Max appointing Baris Zavaroglu as its director general in Turkey ahead of its launch in the country later this year.
