HBO, ITV line up Princess Diana doc

HBO in the US and ITV in the UK have ordered a “landmark documentary” to mark 20 years since the death of Diana Princess of Wales.

The HBO and ITV doc will include
interviews with Diana’s sons

The as-yet untitled show will be produced by UK prodco Oxford Film & Television and will be built around interviews with Diana’s sons, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

It will explore Diana’s life and reveal how she influenced William and Harry’s lives.

The series will air on ITV and HBO later this year and will include individual contributions from key figures in the Princess’s life, as well as archival material.

“This film will show Princess Diana in a way she has never been seen before, through the eyes of the two people who knew her best,” said Nick Kent, the film’s executive producer at Oxford Film & Television. The producer and director is Ashley Gething.
