NBCUniversal International (NBCUI) has agreed a deal with Virgin Media that will see the US firm’s reality SVoD service become available to the UK telco’s customers.

Hayu, first revealed in February, offers on-demand access to an array of more than 3,000 episodes of reality series, with new shows added each week, often at the same time as their US premiere.

The service, which costs £3.99 (US$5.80) a month in the UK, allows viewers to watch shows such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its spin-offs, along with The Real Housewives, Million Dollar Listing and Top Chef.

Virgin TV XL TiVo customers are now able to use Hayu at no extra cost, with the service set to become available to other subscribers later in the year.

Hayu is also being launched in Ireland and Australia, where it will be available without contract for €4.99 (US$5.65) and A$5.99 (US$4.20) respectively.

undressedNBCUI has become the latest to go direct to consumers with its own streaming service, following the likes of Univision, CBS and HBO in the US.
