Guru Studio launches True & the Rainbow Kingdom shorts on YouTube, expands to Roblox

True & the Rainbow Kingdom is expanding to Roblox

Toronto-based Guru Studio is launching a collection of shorts based on its animated preschool series True & the Rainbow Kingdom on YouTube and expanding the IP onto social gaming platform Roblox.

The shorts, under the title True & You, will roll out on the True & the Rainbow Kingdom YouTube channel early next year. Each short will be one minute in length.

According to Guru Studio, True & the Rainbow Kingdom has nearly four billion views on YouTube. The series airs on the CBC in Canada and is also available on Netflix.

On Roblox, Guru Studio is launching a limited-edition collection of wearable UGC items inspired by True & the Rainbow Kingdom, in collaboration with Roblox fashion designer cSapphire.

True & the Rainbow Kingdom is based on the artwork of FriendsWithYou and is executive produced by Pharrell Williams.

Guru Studio’s president and executive creative director Frank Falcone said: “The roll out of new YouTube shorts and Roblox UGC underscores our continued investment in building True as a franchise that lives across platforms, screen sizes and play patterns.”
