Gunpowder & Sky preps Jim Morrison doc

US indie Gunpowder & Sky is producing a documentary about Jim Morrison, the late frontman of rock band The Doors.

The doc will be developed in collaboration with artist management firm Jam Inc, which manages The Doors and the Jim Morrison Estate.

Featuring unearthed personal diaries and home movies, the as-yet-untitled doc aims to “bring the poetry and artistry of The Doors’ frontman to life,” and follows the recent publication of The Collected Works of Jim Morrison: Poetry, Journals, Transcripts & Lyrics.

Jeff Pollack of FourScore Entertainment is also producing, alongside Jam’s CEO Jeff Jampol.
