Guinness World Records, Fauna Entertainment team up to develop animated series

Brody Luckystar follows a girl’s efforts to break a world record

Guinness World Records (GWR)’s production arm GWR Studios is partnering with Turkey’s Fauna Entertainment to develop an animated series about a young girl’s quest to break a world record.

Emmy-winning screenwriter Eric Shaw (Sponge Bob, Big Nate) is attached to write the pilot scripts for Brody Luckystar. UK-based GWR Studios and Fauna Entertainment are collaborating to develop all of the show assets, including the scripts, bible and animatics, as they gear up to take the project out to market.

Brody Luckystar is the first animated series for GWR Studios, which officially launched at Mipcom in October.

The tween-focused project follows the title character and her family as they move to a new town where everyone has a world record, except for Brody. During her quest to break a world record, Brody learns about friendship, family and the importance of staying true to her values.

“Brody Luckystar is a shining example of how we can draw on the amazing world of Guinness World Records to create entertaining stories that will show audiences the determination and emotion involved in each and every record attempt,” said Karen Gilchrist, VP of television and digital for Guinness World Records.
