GMA Network promotes for drama, unscripted

Filipino media company GMA Network has promoted two of the drama and unscripted executives within its entertainment group.

Redgie A Magno

Redgie A Magno has been appointed senior VP for drama productions within GMA’s business development department, having been made VP in 2013.

GMA said under Magno’s leadership its drama unit has “consistently produced memorable, high-rating and groundbreaking content.”

GMA’s scripted programming includes Encantadia, Sahaya, Someone to Watch Over Me, My Husband’s Lover, Ika-6 Na Utos, My Special Tatay and Prima Donnas, as well as the local adaptation of Descendants of the Sun.

Darling De Jesus-Bodegon

Meanwhile, Darling De Jesus-Bodegon has been upped from VP to senior VP for talk/magazine/musical variety/specials and alternative productions within GMA’s business development department.

Under De Jesus-Bodegon, the department has produced episodes of the network’s flagship musical-variety programme All-Out Sundays, as well as the third season of The Clash and singing competition for kids Centerstage.

The department also produced the Philippines’ first virtual reality concert, Alden’s Reality, in partnership with GMA Synergy.
