Globosat climbs MTV’s Hills

Brazilian pay-TV channel Globosat has picked up scripted reality series The Hills and The City, one among a number of new sales for MTV Networks International (MTVNI).

Globosat already airs MTV’s Laguna Beach and is soon to launch new MTV stunt show Nitro Circus soon, along with the scripted reality pick-ups.

MTV OY in Finland has also acquired The Hills and The City, with the latter also picked up by Rustavi 2 in Georgia. Rustavi 2 has taken VH1 series VH1 Divas and The Fabulous Life Presents as well, as has SF in Switzerland.

QTV in Korea has purchased the first season of dating show, Double Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, and Malaysia’s 8TV will air Paris Hilton’s My New Best Friend this winter.

South Africa’s MNet, meanwhile, has taken season one of reality show Baldwin Hills and season 3 of College Hills for broadcast next year.
