Globo raids ITV Studios scripted

The Globo agreement covers BBC period drama Poldark

Brazilian broadcaster Globo has picked up over 400 hours of scripted content from UK prodco and distributor ITV Studios for its SVoD service GloboPlay.

The deal was closed at the digital version of Natpe Miami by Christina Covarrubias, sales director for Latin America and Hispanic US at Globo.

The broadcaster has acquired Noughts + Crosses, Second World War drama World On Fire Mainstreet Pictures’ Gold Digger, Victoria and Poldark, which will be made available on GloboPlay soon.

They will join the complete Murdoch Mysteries from Shaftesbury Films, UK sitcom Mum, French drama Balthazar and Silverprint’s drama Flesh & Blood on the service.
