Globo picks up Dandelooo’s Ella, Oscar & Hoo, Petit for children’s nets

Children’s preschool series Ella, Oscar & Hoo

Brazilian broadcaster Grupo Globo has acquired seasons one and two of children’s series Petit and Ella, Oscar & Hoo for its kids’ OTT platform Giga Gloob and preschool pay TV channel Gloobinho.

Based on the book Petit el monstruo, written and illustrated by Isol, Petit (season one: 26×7’, season two: 13×7’) is a 2D show targeted at four- to seven-year-olds about a little boy who finds unique answers to everyday challenges children face.

The series is produced by Chilean production studio Pájaro in coproduction with Argentina’s Pakapaka and Nonstop, and Colombia’s Señal Colombia.

Ella, Oscar & Hoo (52×11’), meanwhile, is produced by French animation company Normaal and Canal+’s preschool channel Piwi+. It is based on picture books by Théo de Marcousin and Michael Dudok De Wit.

The plot follows a smart bubbly girl, a bouncy little boy and a very young cloud, who embark on adventures that see them chasing dinosaurs, exploring mysterious woods and becoming Santa’s devoted assistants.

Both series are distributed by Paris-based Dandelooo.
