Global buyers apprehend Belgian cop show Chantal

Chantal is produced by Belgium’s Eyeworks

NEWS BRIEF: International drama-skewing streamer MHz Choice in the US, Australia’s SBS, Radio Canada, France’s TF1+ and Canal+ in Slovakia and the Czech Republic have all bought Flemish crime series Chantal, produced by Belgian prodco Eyeworks.

The deal was sealed by France TV Distribution, which has acquired the 8×52’ third series of Chantal, currently shooting for Belgian pubcaster VRT. The show follows a cop who starts a new life in a rural Belgian town with her daughter.
