Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has picked up ITN Productions’ feature-length doc The Pelicot Rape Case: A Town on Trial as part of a raft of sales secured by factual distributor Orange Smarty.

WBD has acquired The Pelicot Rape Case, which headlined Orange Smarty’s London TV Screenings slate in February, for over 90 countries across Europe and Africa. Commissioned by Paramount-owned broadcaster 5 in the UK, the 90-minute film examines last year’s mass rape trial in France.

Meanwhile, SBS, RTL in the Netherlands, TV2 in Denmark and TV2 in Norway have acquired South Shore Productions’ 2×60’ docuseries Eat Smart: Secrets of the Glucose Goddess. Commissioned by the UK’s Channel 4, the show follows biochemist Jessie Inchauspé on a mission to help people improve their health by controlling their blood sugar levels.

In Canada, Corus Entertainment has picked up 120 hours of Freeform Productions’ property-search series A Place in the Sun for its Home Network. The long-running series is produced for Channel 4 in the UK.

Corus has also acquired Andi Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts for its Flavour Network. The 8×60’ series, produced by South Shore for BBC Two in the UK, follows the chef as she hosts feasts with food and music for various communities.
