Ghiglione assumes direction of broadcaster Globo’s international coproduction arm

Brazilian broadcaster Globo has upped Pablo Ghiglione to director of international coproduction from his previous position as sales executive at the company’s distribution arm.

In his new position, the company said, the executive will have “the challenge of seeking partnerships and business models in international coproductions, continuing the strategy of taking Globo’s productions to different audiences around the world.”

The position had previously been held by Ana Carolina Lima, who left the company in September last year.

Since then, Globo’s international division has been restructured with the departure of Raphael Corrêa Netto (who has taken over the management of the company’s non-sports pay TV channels) and the appointment of Angela Colla in his place in December.

Colla, who until then was the head of international sales, is now director of international business, leading all of Globo’s international initiatives including distribution, sales and the expansion of channels and the Globoplay platform.

Ghiglione arrives at the international coproduction department after more than 12 years of experience in content distribution and negotiation. At Globo, he has led agreements with platforms such as HBO Max and Paramount +, as well as with the main channels and communication groups in Latin America.

He was at Conecta Fiction last year for the announcement of O Codex 632, the coproduction between Globo, RTP and SPi.
