Germany’s Autentic Distribution is bringing a slate of documentaries including one exploring the rise of right-wing populism and the resulting threats to democracy to Mipcom.

Dying Democracies: Europe in Decline (2×45′), produced by Autentic Studios, is joined on the slate by Deserted: Europe’s Deadly Migration Policy, an investigative documentary produced by BR, Deutsche Welle, NDR and Lighthouse Reports.
It reveals the dangerous consequences of Europe’s migration strategy, exploring how thousands of refugees are being abandoned in the North African desert.
Autentic Distribution, the sales division of Jan Mojto’s Beta Film subsidiary Autentic, will be offering over 100 new hours of documentaries and factual series spanning current affairs, nature and wildlife, history and arts and lifestyle at Mipcom later this month.
NZZ’s African Gas: Europe’s New Energy Source investigates the potential of Africa’s untapped gas reserves as Europe searches for new gas suppliers in the wake of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In the factual entertainment genre, Metal Detective (30×52′), produced by Formasette, follows the treasure-hunting adventures of Gibba as he uncovers relics from historic battlefields across Europe.
A new season of Sagamedia’s A Farm of Our Own (5×30′), meanwhile, continues to follow families transforming their lives by embracing nature and self-sufficiency on their farms.
