French sales division Newen Connect brings in former ZED and StudioCanal execs

France-based distributor Newen Connect has added former ZED executive Chloé Persyn and StudioCanal’s Camille Dupeuble to its team.

Chloé Persyn

Persyn joins the sales arm of the French production group as head of factual distribution. Reporting to Leona Connell, exec VP of distribution, she will be in charge of strengthening and developing the group’s documentary activity, working with producers on the financing of projects and seeking coproductions.

She will work with the teams of Nadia Chevallard, head of international sales, and Karine Lejeune, senior VP of sales French-speaking Europe, to generate revenue from factual content globally.

Persyn has more than 11 years of experience at rival French distributor ZED, including six years as distribution director.

Camille Dupeuble

Dupeuble has been appointed VP for France and digital sales. She will be working under the dual supervision of Connell and Lejeune.

She will aim to strengthen French sales activity alongside the current team and develop Newen Connect’s digital revenue streams.

Previously, Dupeuble worked for four years at StudioCanal in the TV and SVoD sales department and for three-and-a-half years at MK2 as VP France and international sales with a focus on digital platforms.

Connell said: “Newen Connect, led by Rodolphe Buet, Newen’s group chief distribution officer, continues its growth. The strengthening of our teams will allow us to better respond to the growing demand from channels and platforms for quality European content.”
