French pre-sale for Media Pioneers’ Miró-inspired animated series Mironins

Spanish animated series Mironins

French free-to-air channel TF1 has agreed a pre-sale for Spanish animated series Mironins (26×7’), based on the work of Spanish painter Joan Miró.

Mironins is produced by Low Films. London distributor The Media Pioneers holds the rights to the show in the EMEA and APAC regions.

The 2D series follows three paint drops who have escaped from one of Miró’s abstract paintings to see the rest of the museum they call home. Aimed at kids, it features no dialogue. TF1 will air the show on its kids’ service Tfoumax.

Other buyers include RTVE’s Clan for Spain, TVC’s Super 3 for Catalonia and VRT’s Ketnet, the Flemish kids’ platform in Belgium.

“This series is a nice way to immerse in the artist’s paintings through visual gags and situations with cute little characters, and combine fun and educational content at the same time,” said Daphné de Beauffort, exec VP of youth programmes and diversification at TF1.
