French cartoon studio Method Animation hires Katell France as MD, CCO

French cartoon studio Method Animation has appointed Katell France as MD and chief content officer.

France joins the Mediawan Kids & Family-owned company with a brief to design and implement editorial strategy.

She heads up a team of executives who will now report to her: Camille Oesch, head of originals; Olivier Perouze, head of classics; and Raphael Sejourne, head of adult animation and special projects.

In addition to France’s appointment, Julien Borde has been promoted to president of Mediawan Kids & Family, while Aton Soumache has been named honorary president of the division.

“Katell’s passion for animation and her knowledge of creative development and production will be great assets in our future success,” said Borde.

France has 20 years of experience in animation, most recently launching prodco Onikiri in 2020.
