French animator Millimages hires Disney alum Clement Le Strat for development

Former Disney executive Clement Le Strat has been appointed development manager at French animation studio Millimages.

Le Strat will report to Bonnie Lener, the head of the development division and producer. His brief is to progress preschool content and expand the company’s programming for adults.

He joins the Paris-based label from Studio Redfrog, where he managed development from 2019 to 2023, notably on cartoon series Smarty Pants for Canal+, ITV and Cartoon Network Italia.

Prior to that, Le Strat was programme development manager and editorial adviser at Disney France. At the mouse house he oversaw more than 60 animated and live-action series over 11 years.

Lener said: “Clement’s arrival consolidates our new editorial strategy which aims to continue developing preschool projects, but also to expand our content to target both kids and adults.”

Le Strat said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Millimages’ creative talent and helping to expand the scope of their amazing catalogue.”

Lener and Le Strat will both represent Millimages at the Annecy Animation Festival in June.
